Charleston SC Weekend Getaway
The best part about Charleston SC is the southern features. We love the architecture, the greenery, the colors and the history. When you walk the streets, you feel welcomed and inspired.
Every single morning we drove over to The Battery and sipped our morning coffee. The Battery is one of our favorite places in Charleston SC. The Battery is a seawall by the water. It is similar to a park and has a walking path lining the water. We love walking and looking at the homes on the water.

As you walk through, make sure you stop at the famous Rainbow Row. It is the perfect place to grab a picture.
We also love walking through the City Market. It is located right in the center of the downtown area. There are vendors set up throughout the market and they also have great food! We like going in the morning when they first open to avoid the crowds.
If you are looking to get your shop on, you have to head to King Street. King street is loaded with shops. There are name brand stores and really unique boutiques as well. King street also has a lot of cool restaurants and coffee shops if you need energy while you shop.

The Best Restaurants in Charleston SC
The food game in Charleston SC is AMAZING. We love so many restaurants. Our favorite coffee shop is The Harbinger. It is just outside of the city, so you may have to drive, but it is worth it! We love the menu and the vibe. It is a beautiful place. My favorite drink is their turmeric chai tea latte, it is incredible!

One of our favorite dinner spots is The Felix. If you want a great, beautiful dinner, this is the place to go. The food is delicious and the vibe is so good! I ordered the gnocchi and Mason ordered the burger and both were great. They also have great drinks!

If you are looking for a good brunch spot, The Husk is fantastic. The serve southern dishes with a modern touch. I ordered the shrimp and grits and Mason ordered the hot cakes. We really enjoyed both. They are extremely busy and you have to make reservations. If you get there early enough you may be able to sit on the patio, it is a gorgeous view!

We really love breakfast in Charleston SC, and we found the perfect spot, Toast. The food was AMAZING. I ordered crab biscuits and Mason ordered the breakfast sandwich. It is definitely some of the best food we had in Charleston. If you are a breakfast person, we definitely recommend Toast.

When we first arrived in Charleston SC, we were so hungry and decided to walk down King St. As we walked, we found Juanita Greenberg's. They are known for their nachos and that is what we ordered. Let me tell you, they are some of the best nachos we have ever tasted! It has a casual vibe and the patio is great!

If you decide to head to the beach on Sullivan's Island, check out Poe's Tavern. We both ordered tacos and they were delicious. It is a casual beach restaurant with upscale food. It was crowded, so you may have to get there early for lunch and dinner.

One night for dinner one of our friends, who also loves Charleston SC, recommend The Basic Kitchen. It is a great restaurant that focuses on clean ingredients and whole foods. I ordered the fried chicken and loved it! They also make their cocktails from scratch and sweeten them with natural sweeteners.
